Every year candy seems to invade our house starting at Halloween and the invasion doesn’t cease until after Easter. In an effort to curtail the amount of candy accumulating in our house, we instituted the idea of a non-candy Easter a couple of years ago. This entails a non-candy Easter egg hunt at our house as well as non-candy Easter baskets. We found that our family and friends were overwhelmingly in support of the idea, so now every year we host an Easter brunch and non-candy egg hunt for our family, friends, and their kids!
